Tucked away on the North Shore of Kauai, Hideaway Beach is a secluded paradise that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and adventure. Known for its crystal-clear waters, rich marine life, and picturesque setting, Hideaway Beach is a true hidden gem that rewards those adventurous enough to seek it out.
Location and Access
Part of the allure of Hideaway Beach is its remote, almost secretive location. Set beneath the cliffs of Princeville, the beach is accessed by a steep, narrow trail that requires caution—especially after rain, when the path can become slippery. The trail begins just past the Puu Poa condos, with a small parking area nearby. While the descent may be challenging for some, those who make the trek are rewarded with a pristine beach experience largely free from crowds.

Natural Beauty
The beauty of Hideaway Beach is undeniable. The beach is relatively small, with golden sand that meets clear, turquoise waters. Towering cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop, while an offshore reef creates a naturally protected area ideal for snorkeling. The calm, shallow waters teem with marine life, offering opportunities to spot colorful fish and even the occasional sea turtle. Shaded areas behind the beach provide a perfect place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of this serene coastal setting.
