Camping at Kauai's Kokee State Park will be temporarily unavailable as the park undergoes a significant round of campground improvements. According to the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, construction is scheduled to begin in May 2026 and continue through Spring 2027.
During this period, the campground will be closed to overnight visitors while upgrades are made to enhance the overall camping experience.
