A Waterfall Worth Pulling Over For: Witness Puukumu Stream Falls on Kauai’s North Shore Near Kalihiwai
The exquisite waterfall visible from Kalihiwai Road near Kalihiwai Beach is Puukumu Stream Falls, an under-the-radar gem located on Kauai’s North Shore near the town of Kilauea. The waterfall can be viewed from a roadside pullout along Kalihiwai Road, shortly past the dirt road leading to the Secret Beach trailhead.
Surrounded by lush vegetation, Puukumu Stream Falls cascades down a dramatic rock wall into a verdant valley. If it were not located on private property, the waterfall would surely be a popular attraction. Nevertheless, the falls should only be enjoyed from the roadside pullout—do not trespass in an effort to reach them. The waterfall is not open to the public.
